Russian Language Minor

To enter the Russian Language minor, students must have an overall grade-point average of 2.0 or better.
Required Lower Division Courses – 9 to 17 units (both items below):
- Russian 6 or 20 or equivalent proficiency
- One course from 25, 25W, 90A, 90B, or 90BW
Required Upper Division Courses (20 to 23 units):
Students select one of the following three tracks:
- Russian 101A, 101B, 101C and two additional Russian language or literature courses
- Russian 100A, 100B, 100C and two additional Russian language or literature courses
- Five Russian language and literature courses selected from Russian 102A, 102B, 102C, 103A, 103B, 103C, 107A, 107B, 107C, 130A, 130B, 130C, 140A through 140D, with a minimum of three courses in Russian language
Students may petition to substitute courses after consulting with the undergraduate adviser.
A minimum of 20 units applied toward the minor requirements must be in addition to units applied toward major requirements or another minor.
Each minor course must be taken for a letter grade, and students must have an overall grade-point average of 2.0 or better. Successful completion of the minor is indicated on the transcript and diploma.
